The Museum of the Department of Anthropology can be traced back to the establishment of the Institute of Ethnology at the Taihoku Imperial University in 1928. The collections consist of cultural artifacts of Taiwan Indigenous People collected mainly from the 1920’s to the early 1960’s and prehistoric artifacts excavated from archaeological sites in Taiwan.

Since 1945, NTU Archive has been recording the academic development and the effort of NTU members. In August 2007, NTU Archive Room was established after moving to NTU’s Shuei-yuan Campus. Since then, it has turned the once purely official documents into historical memorabilia.

NTU Museum of Zoology
The Museum of Zoology was established in 1928 during the Japanese colonial period and many valuable animal specimens have been collected since the beginning. In the early days, recording the fauna of Taiwan and its neighboring areas, such as southeastern Asia and Hainan Island, was the major purpose of the collection.
